CS2 grenade lineups: pro smokes and the Nade Solver
Two tools for utility: the Stuff catalog gathers grenades actually thrown in pro matches, placed on each map’s radar; the Nade Solver simulates trajectories to find a smoke that covers the spot you choose.
What you need: Catalog without an account · Nade Solver with an approved account
The lineup catalog
Pick the map
Mirage, Inferno, Dust II, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis… Maps with videos come first.
Pick the grenade and side
Smoke, flash, molotov or HE, then CT or T. Each circle on the radar is a landing spot.
Open a throw spot
Player, team, match, round and a video that starts at the throw.
Practice
Copy
setposandsetangwhen the source provides them, then paste them in the CS2 console in a private match.
The type, side, target and spot stay in the page address: copy it to share a specific throw. Sources (pro matches, community markers, Nade Solver lineups validated in game) are credited on each throw and on the Credits page.
The Nade Solver
The Nade Solver starts from a simple question: “where do I throw a smoke that covers this spot?”. It simulates smoke trajectories on the map geometry, without copying any existing throw, then ranks the lineups it finds.
| Indicator | What it means |
|---|---|
| Distance to target | Distance between the simulated pop and the target spot. |
| Difficulty | Easy, medium or hard to execute. |
| Robustness | Share of throws that still land well with small aim, position or timing errors. |
| Exposed | The thrower can be seen from the covered area. |
| Already in catalog | The lineup already exists among pro throws, is a variant, or is new. |
From a replay
In the 2D replay, a grenade card lists similar throws from the catalog with a link to open them, and a team can link a grenade from its Playbook to a catalog throw.
Limits
- The Nade Solver only searches smokes for now, on the maps where it is available.
- Not every catalog grenade has a video or
setpos: a throw without an exact position is reproduced from its video. - A map update can change a trajectory: recheck a lineup after a patch.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I use setpos and setang in CS2?#
- In a private match with
sv_cheats 1, paste the command in the console: it places you and sets your aim. You still have to reproduce the technique (jump throw, right click…). See Setpos and setang. - Does the Nade Solver work on every map?#
- No: only on maps prepared for simulation, listed in the tool. The Stuff catalog covers more maps.
- Do I need an account to see lineups?#
- Not for the Stuff catalog. The Nade Solver requires an approved account signed in with Steam.
- Is a Nade Solver lineup guaranteed to work?#
- No: it is a simulation. Prefer a robust, easy lineup, then validate it in game. See Nade Solver.
