Stuff: pro players’ grenades
Find a smoke, flash, molotov or HE thrown by pros on each map’s radar, with its video, technique and setpos commands.
2 min read
The Stuff page (Utility › Catalog menu) gathers grenades actually thrown in matches, placed on each map’s radar. Use it to find a throw, see how it’s done, then practise it on a private server.
Find a throw
Pick the map
Map cards show how many throws have a video; maps with videos come first.
Pick the type and side
Smoke, Flash, Molotov (incendiaries included) or HE, then CT or T (the With video or setpos only option hides the other throws). Each circle is a landing spot, with its number of throws.
Click a landing spot
The throw spots appear: blue diamonds for CT, orange for T, pink for both.
Open a spot
The panel shows the player, team, match, round and the video, which starts at the throw. It only loads when you click.
The chosen type, side, target and spot stay in the page address: copy it to share a specific throw.
Setpos, setang and CS2 commands
- Some throws give the player’s exact position and angle: copy
setposandsetang, then paste them in the CS2 console, on a private server with cheat commands enabled (sv_cheats 1). - These commands place you and set your aim, but neither jump nor run: the technique (standing, jump throw, left or right click…) is given when the source knows it, otherwise it shows in the video.
- A throw showing “Setpos not available” has no exact position: only the video lets you reproduce it.
Where throws come from
| Source | What it brings |
|---|---|
| Daily CS Nades | Grenades from pro matches, with the throw video. |
| CS2 Annotations | Markers with setpos, setang and the technique (jump throw…). |
| Nade Solver | Simulated lineups then validated in game by their author, labelled as such. |
When two sources describe the same throw (same start and landing, within a few units), they are merged on a single spot. The source is credited on each page and on the Credits page.
From a replay
A grenade card in the 2D replay lists similar throws from the catalog (same throw or same target) with an Open in Stuff link.
