The CStonx app is a small Windows program (a single file under 1 MB). It identifies the players in your match and sends them to the website. It doesn’t read game memory, doesn’t inject anything and doesn’t sign in to your Steam account.

Download, install and launch CStonx

Download

Click Download the app: the link leads to the latest release. Two files are available:

FileFor whom
CStonx-Setup-X.Y.Z.exeRecommended. Installs for your Windows account, without admin rights, and can be uninstalled from Windows Settings.
CStonx-portable.zipNo installation: unzip the archive and run cstonx.exe wherever you like. Its settings are saved next to the exe.

Windows SmartScreen warning

The app isn’t digitally signed yet. On first launch, Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”.

  1. Click “More info”

The link is right under the warning message.

  2. Click “Run anyway”

The button appears at the bottom of the window. Windows won’t ask again for this file.

Verify your download

Each release is published with a SHA256SUMS.txt file containing the fingerprint of every file. In PowerShell, from the download folder:

Get-FileHash .\CStonx-Setup-X.Y.Z.exe -Algorithm SHA256

The result must match the corresponding line of SHA256SUMS.txt (case doesn’t matter).

First launch

  • The app looks for CS2 in your Steam libraries and installs its configuration, an official file provided by Valve. If it can’t find the game, it asks you to pick its folder (CS2 tab, Choisir le dossier… button).
  • If CS2 was open, restart it so it picks up this configuration.
  • The app opens on its Accueil (Home) tab, which lists what’s left to do: you still need your personal key, which you get after requesting access.
  • When you close the window, the app keeps running in the background: its icon stays next to the Windows clock (right-click for Ouvrir (Open), Rafraîchir les joueurs (Refresh players) or Quitter (Quit)).

Updates

In the app’s Réglages (Settings) tab, Mises à jour (Updates) section: the app downloads the new version and checks its signature before installing it. A version with an invalid signature is rejected.

Uninstall

  • Installed version: Windows Settings › Apps › CStonx. The configuration added to CS2 and the automatic startup are removed too.
  • Portable version: CS2 tab › Tout nettoyer (Clean everything), then delete the exe.
